For our location in East London IDZ, East London, Eastern Cape , we have an opening for a Toolmaker. Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Manager, contributing to the improvement of tooling standards. Ensure tooling and equipment conforms to the Group’s HSE standards and that production equipment is well maintained and in good working order. Ensure that the supporting structures and facilties are well maintained and ensuring tooling equipment and related are maintained.
Tasks:
- Maximum machine availability and support to production
- Contribute to the improvement of electrical and mechanical standards
- Fault finding : repairs and installation
- Maintain and service equipment
- Breakdown time recording at machine (from start to finish)
- Service reports to be completed after each service
- Maintain products equipment as per machine manual
- Spare parts availability
- Ensure spare equipment in good working order
- Housekeeping and maintenance clean and tidying of work area throughout the shift and on completion of every shift
Required qualifications:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Plastic Injection Moulding exp advantageous
- Crane Operation up 30T +
- Valid drivers license
