Quality Engineer – Coega SEZ

For our location in Coega, Eastern Cape, we have an opening for a Quality Engineer. Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Manager, ensuring parts manufactured meet the customer’s requirements, ensure all relevant documentation is completed as per Quality Management System (QMS) or instructions and perform doc audits.
Tasks:
- Ensure all process control documentation is updated
- Incoming components quality
- Supplier NCR
- Champion shop floor scrap reviews and NCP
- Scrap analysis and opportunities
- Change and Deviation Management
- Plant Internal PPM
- Facilitate Structured Problem Solving in the plant (5 Why,8D)
- Champion Layered Process Audits and Product Audits
- Validate Measurement Systems (MSA, GR&R)
- Process Capability Studies (Cp/Cpk)
Required qualifications:
- National Diploma in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering
- 1-2 years relevant working experience within the automotive environment.
- 1-2 years working experience with plastic parts, set-up, inspection and dimensional evaluation
- Good computer skills and experience especially with Microsoft Excel
